PHILOSPHY OF EDUCATION

The Christian school exists to be an aid to the family and the church in the nurturing of our children.

The school employs qualified teachers who responsibly bear the authority delegated by the parents.

Prayer and praise is an important part of life at the school.

We strive for excellence in education.

The subjects of education include the study of natural and social sciences, the arts, language skills, and the development of physical abilities.

All subjects of education are taught with an attitude that encourages Christian faith and the primacy of Scriptural revelation.

Relationships encourage respect for authority and honoring of fellow students.

We seek to instill within the students an awareness of the brokenness of the world, a sense of compassion for the hurting, and a desire to serve.

Spiritual Life

Daily devotions, Bible classes, and weekly chapel services promote spiritual growth. Academic subjects are biblically-integrated and taught with an attitude that encourages faith and primacy of scripture.

 

Citizenship Certificates are shared monthly to recognize those Middle School students that demonstrate servant leadership and respect for peers and staff.

SCIENCE | Earth, Life, Envirothon, Physical and Outdoor Education
BIBLE | Gender Specific Classroom Instruction, Devotions, Prayer, Scripture Memorization, Small Groups
ART | Pottery, Carving, Ceramics, Art Media, Drawing/Painting
LANGUAGE ARTS | Grammar, Literature, Public Speaking, Study Skills, Spanish, Writing
SOCIAL STUDIES | American History, Civics, GeographyMUSIC
General, Band, Vocal Ensemble
PHYSICAL EDUCATION | Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track/Field, Archery, Health

ENRICHMENT | Additional opportunities for enrichment include courses such as Music, Art, Cooking, Student Council, Envirothon Competition, African American History, and History Bowl Competition.

 

ADVANCED STUDIES AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT | West Fallowfield Christian School supports homeschooled students with electives such as Art, Music, and Physical Education.  The Resource Room provides educational support for students in remedial math, reading support, and organizational/planning skills.

Athletics
