West Fallowfield Christian School
Giving PDF Print E-mail
We are grateful for God's faithfulness in providing gifts to West Fallowfield Christian School.  School revenue is provided by tuition, gifts to our Operating Budget, endowment earnings and profit from school fundraisers.  These gifts allow West Fallowfield to continue to provide Christian education to the community.  Prayerfully consider if you are able to give to any of the following needs:

Operating Budget

  • Tuition covers approximately 70% of our operating costs.  We rely on general gifts, the Annual Banquet, other fundraisers and the year-end appeal for the rest of our costs.  The Operating Budget is our giving priority, and allows us to keep tuition affordable.

Capital Campaign Building Fund

  • Monies received for the Capital Campaign are applied to the outstanding balance on the 2005 construction loan.  This loan is for the new building and renovations to the original building completed in 2006.

The new building consists of a full size middle school gymnasium, two additional classrooms, a stage for musical performances, locker rooms and room for additional growth.  Renovations to the existing building included the addition of two classrooms, new restrooms and rooms for instrumental lessons and/or tutoring.  As of January 2010, we have $200,000 remaining on the loan.  We are currently in a "Finish the Campaign" appeal:

Endowment Funds

  • Willis D. Umble Endowment - for tuition assistance

  • Rhoda M. King Endowment - for faculty education

  • Capital Improvement Endowment - for facility needs

Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)

  • This program allows businesses to support a school, by designating a portion of their PA taxes to go directly to a financial aid program.  (In 2009, over 50 families qualified to receive financial aid at WFCS funded by EITC gifts.)
  • Eligibility -  Businesses authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes: Corporate Net Income Tax, Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax, Insurance Premium Tax; Mutual Thrift Institution Tax or Personal Income Tax of S Corporation shareholders or partnership partners.
  • Uses - Tax credits may be applied against the tax liability of a business for the tax  year in which the contribution was made.
